ABOUT

Sean Lee-Davies

An award-winning host, Sean Lee-Davies has decades of experience in both print and broadcast journalism. He has written, directed, produced and hosted TV shows and documentaries for National Geographic, Channel News Asia, FOX, LiTC and TVB. Notably, he also won acclaim for his role as host and executive producer of the hit TV show ‘Tycoon Talk’ in which he interviewed some of Hong Kong’s high-profile billionaires and leaders such as Sir Gordon Wu, Alan Zeman and Cecil Chao.

Sean Lee-Davies also specialises in documentary photography and has been creating impactful work for over two decades. His work has taken him all across Asia and Africa, and he continues to use his art to raise awareness about endangered species and other conservation issues worldwide. One of his most notable photo collections was the Love is Wild collection which works to redefine the relationship between human and animal, showcasing people not as conquerors of nature, but instead as conscientious cohabitants. He most recently created the Last Nomads collection which documents the threatened art of falconry in the remote deserts of Mongolia, where golden eagles hunt alongside humans.

Lee-Davies has long been an advocate for the natural world, working to highlight the plight of endangered species around the globe through photography, TV shows and social media. In 2010, Lee-Davies founded the social enterprise and media platform Project C: CHANGE, which works to shed light and provide insight into climate change and conservation issues. He has also produced shows for National Geographic and hosted a 6-part TV eco-adventure show ‘Adventures to the Edge’ on TVB.

Lee Davies’ company, Awethentic Gallery, also works with a number of charities and non-profits, ranging from social impact to conservation, and donates 10% of every purchase made to charity.

In February, 2020, Project C:CHANGE partnered with a variety of changemakers from across the globe to raise funds for charity by successfully summiting Uhuru Peak—Mt Kilimanjaro’s peak, at 5985m above sea level. The 8-day charity climb took several months of preparation and raised over US$150,000 to protect and restore irreplaceable biodiversity and wildlife for the future.
