Ranvir Singh is the award-winning presenter and political editor for ITV’s Good Morning Britain. In 2020 she joined the BBC 'Strictly Come Dancing' family which took her all the way to the semi-finals, you can also catch her stepping in for Lorraine on ITV.

Good Morning Britain has taken her across the globe and to the frontline of crisis. Some highlights include being the first to report on the Macedonia/Serbian border refugee crisis, spending time with Donald Trump during his presidency at the White House, and live reporting from the ground as the tragedy of Grenfell unfolded. In 2019 the GMB team won the prestigious Golden Nymph Award in the ‘Live Breaking News’ category at the 59th Monte Carlo Television Awards for their coverage of the Westminster attack, for which Ranvir was praised for her ability to ‘strike the perfect tone of urgency, without being alarmist and guiding viewers with a balance of fact and speculation.’

Ranvir has fronted several ITV primetime factual series’ including the successful, returning show Eat, Shop, Save, which see’s Ranvir and her team of experts help families to eat and save their way to household happiness. She explored the country’s most fascinating attractions, sharing extraordinary stories of human endeavour in the brand new Sunday morning ITV series All Around Britain with Alex Beresford, and presented ITV Real Stories, telling unique stories of people who have experienced life-changing events. Some titles include “Black British male ballet dancer makes history” and “I gave my kidney to a stranger.” 

During the madness and confusion of the coronavirus crisis Ranvir fronted #AskRanvir for GMB online; giving viewers clear, concise information about the latest updates and guidelines from the government, and generated an impressive 1.2 million impressions across GMB's social media channels. 

Ranvir cut her teeth in broadcasting at the BBC where she spent twelve years as a producer, reporter and presenter on both regional and national radio and television. She co-presented BBC North West Tonight for nearly five years which bagged her ‘Best on screen Talent’ at the Royal Television Society’s North West Awards.

Born and raised in Preston, Ranvir graduated from Lancaster University in Philosophy and English Literature, and later returned to complete her postgraduate in Broadcast Journalism. In 2013 was awarded an Honorary Fellowship by the University of Central Lancashire and is a current Chancellor for UCLan.
