ABOUT

Kathleen Saxton

Kathleen Saxton is currently the Managing Director at MediaLink, leading the firm’s operations across EMEA. A media industry veteran with 25+ years of experience, her remit is wide-ranging and spans business growth, agency selection, talent advisory and strategic consulting. Prior to joining MediaLink, Kathleen created and led a talent advisory firm providing board level counsel to companies across the marketing landscape. She has also held commercial leadership positions spanning organisations including Sky Television, Global Radio, Bauer and DCM and board positions within Omnicom, Publicis & Virgin. She is also the co-founder of Advertising Week Europe.

In addition to being a universally respected, brave leader and co-founder, she has carved out a career as one of the most sought-after interviewers in the Media & Marketing Sector, given she is also a qualified and practicing psychotherapist, applying psychology to all elements of her work.  This extends to the stage, where examination and analysis of a subject through a psychological lens is weaved effortlessly into her interviewing technique, allowing true motivations and heartfelt stories to be told, often for the first time. This is particularly well highlighted in her interview with SAS veteran, Ant Middleton.

A regular headliner, performing in front of large crowds spanning popular consumer events, trade events and schools - she has interviewed countless celebrities, from industry heavyweights such as Sir Martin Sorrell to actual heavyweights, like boxer David Haye.

She sits on the board of NSPCC Childline and is an active member of WACL, the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP), and the UK Council for Psychotherapy(UKCP).

If you are looking for an interviewer who can talk with great authority about the changing face of the Media industry, discuss mental health in the workplace or at home and get to the heart of the issue (and of the interviewee) by compelling them to open upon stage, then Kathleen is the perfect person to secure for your event.
